JOB DESCRIPTION

1.            JOB PURPOSE – OVERALL SUMMARY

  • To supervise the day to day running of the shop floor to ensure the safe and efficient utilisation of personnel and machinery.
  • To coordinate and report on daily progress in relation to the manufacturing schedule and to facilitate the adherence to this plan.

 

2.            KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To manage the production schedule and staff ensuring that products are manufactured in accordance with customer specifications, Weatherford QHSSE policies & procedures and budgetary costs.
  • To promote safe working practices in compliance to the Weatherford QHSSE policies & procedures whilst ensuring that the most cost effective methods are employed on the shop floor at all times
  • To provide a day to day supervision, technical advise and guidance to all shop floor staff
  • To direct and liaise with team leaders regarding day to day running of shop floor
  • Responsible for providing training to new employees, and re-training of existing employees.
  • Planning and scheduling of current work and forthcoming confirmed orders to ensure On Time Delivery is met.
  • Responsible for liaising with Manufacturing Support Dept on review and release of work orders to the shopfloor.
  • Ensure that the shop floor complies with the global IMS proceedures at all times and completes the necessary documentation.
  • Ensure that the ALR system is correctly and properly implemented on the shopfloor.
  • Ensure that any manufacturing work order variances are controlled and analysed for future improvement
  • Liaise with sub-contractors as necessary
  • Liaise frequently with stores in ensuring that adequate consumables & spare parts are in stock for satisfying current and forthcoming orders
  • Liaise with QA Dept with regard to Quality matters within the Production Department, taking appropriate action as required to maintain quality standards.
  • Co-ordinating packaging and despatch in line with customer specific requirements, WFT Global requirements and required shipping dates.
  • Identify and review any problem areas within the facility, taking appropriate actions to improve.
  • To promote safe working practices in compliance to the Weatherford QHSSE policies & procedures whilst ensuring that the most cost effective methods are employed on the shop floor at all times
  • Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil these.

 

3.            QHSE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment.
  • Apply Weatherford, and where appropriate Client Company’s, Quality, Health, Safety & Environment Policy and Management Systems.
  • Act in accordance with the Roles and Responsibilities as designated in Document 2-2-EW-GB-EDI-00001
