A Weatherford COROD Continuous Rod & Well Services Flushby Assistant is responsible for learning how to assist the Flushby Operator in the daily operations and maintenance of COROD equipment involved with servicing well site equipment. The Flushby Assistant is responsible to ensure that their work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner and is always in compliance with the Weatherford Corporate and the COROD product line policies and procedures.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:  (not listed in any particular order)

3.1Assist the Flushby Operator in the installation and servicing of well site equipment and the operation and maintenance of COROD equipment.

3.2Commit to working safely, learning and following Weatherford operational safety regulations and COROD standard operating procedures.

3.3Commit to driving safely; learning and following procedures and practices as per Weatherford fleet safety regulations and Country vehicle operator rules and regulations.

3.4Learn how to and maintain a clean work area including the customer’s well site, all COROD equipment and the shop site.

3.5Actively participate in continuous improvement by making suggestions for eliminating job site hazards and improving work procedures.

3.6Learn the effective use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Wear job/task appropriate PPE at all times. Maintain PPE in a clean and serviceable manner. Fully participate in pre-job safety activities and always consider risks associated with every task performed.

3.7Participate fully, as directed in all incident investigations.

3.8Participate in scheduled safety performance meetings.

3.9Attend customer safety meetings as required.

3.10Ensure all regulatory safety training is current and updated as required. This may include but is not limited to H2S, First Aid & CPR, WHMIS, TDG, Fall Arrest, and client specific safety training and credentials as required by the job role and work location.

3.11Commit to learning, understanding and following all job/task procedures and to keep current as new procedures are released.   

3.12Identify improvement opportunities and learn how to take a proactive approach toward sharing these ideas.

3.13Learn how to and performs corrective and preventive actions as required and or directed.

3.14Learn how to and maintain a daily log book and trip inspection book in compliance with regional, Weatherford, and COROD requirements for crew truck as required.

3.15Learn how to and maintain monthly fuel reports for crew truck as required.

3.16Learn the Weatherford GEMS and follow associated practices and procedures. Actively participate in all safety initiatives.

3.17Learn and seek to fully understand the safe and intended use of all COROD and customer supplied tools and equipment. Commit to the safe handling, use and appropriate care for all tools and equipment.

3.18Learn how to perform job tasks in the safest, most efficient and effective manner possible. Make safety and service quality your number 1 priority.

3.19Learn how to perform regular Flushby maintenance as per schedule. When the Flushby is assigned to a shop, assist maintenance personnel as required.

3.20Learn to take charge of your personal learning and development. Periodically sign into EMPLOYEE Connect to check for any outstanding courses or policies that have been assigned and complete them.

3.21Learn and understand the COROD career development process. Actively work toward your Level 1 Competence Assessment.  








  • If required - possess valid and current country/regional Vehicle Operator License applicable to the equipment, with a clean abstract.
  • Possess valid country certificates for regulatory safety training, updated as required: may include but not limited to, H2S, First Aid & CPR, WHMIS, TDG, Fall Arrest, and client specific safety training and credentials.
  • Must be physically fit, capable of lifting heavy loads and working extended hours in extreme weather conditions.
  • Ability to perform basic computer functions if and as required.



  • Successful completion of secondary/high school education or equivalent.
