This role will be responsible for planning inventory, manufacturing capacity and vendor capabilities in order to most effectively meet the customer demand. This role will partner with Manufacturing, Procurement and Demand Planning in order to develop the rough-cut capacity plan, inventory and vendor capabilities required to meet demand. The position will report to Planning Director within Supply Chain function.
Responsible for all supply planning process for multiple product lines within a segment, including corresponding KPI’s
Report performance to Manufacturing and Procurement VP on a monthly basis
Set targets and agenda for strategic improvement projects for the plants / segments and ensure successful execution
Develop and maintain Make-Buy decisions for all SKUs within a product line to ensure optimization of production allocation to reduce cost and improve capacity utilization
Balance supply with demand for the product line and identify constraints (rough-cut capacity planning)
Maintain FG inventory policy
Create supply plans (24-month horizon). Work towards strategic part standardization
Communicate plan to production schedulers and monitor scheduling adherence
Resolve conflicts with factory scheduler and/or MRP planner
Monitor supplier performance and work towards supplier lead time reduction
Bachelor’s degree in business, industrial management, supply chain or other relevant fields.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supply planning / inventory management role preferably in automobile or advanced manufacturing industry
Solid understanding of supply chain best practices and procedures.
Strong analytical abilities and ability to use data visualization tools
Capability to work with broad set of stakeholders and work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills
