Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Operates wireline service tools as assigned.
  2. Manages well site operations to insure delivery of quality service and compliance with environmental and safety standards.  Supervises, assists, and directs an operator crew in the calibration of equipment and the setup and running of service(s).
  3. Isolates location of field failures and takes such remedial action as necessary to insure service keeps running; documents and  reports failures and recommends action to prevent recurrence.
  4. Informs clients of any unusual conditions during the job and maintains direct contact with client's representative throughout running of service; analyzes tool failures and makes decisions to send for replacements or use alternative techniques;  interprets common services for client.
  5. Fosters and maintains client relations by establishing a positive image and confidence in the quality of services and insures the confidentiality of all logging operations.
  6. Prepares and signs service orders as an authorized representative of the Company. Insures service order is signed by client's representative.
  7. Supervises and assists an operator crew in the preparation of the unit and related equipment for a job and in such pre job, post job, regular, and specialized maintenance as necessary to meet Company standards, and prepares and submits such technical and maintenance reports as required.
  8. Supervise field engineers and ensure all company SOPs are followed accordingly.
  9. Prepares documentation for DOT, environmental, and post job summary as required.
  10. Undertakes such technical, safety, and shop and office responsibilities as are assigned by the supervisor
  11. Reviews and appraises the performance of subordinates, consistent with performance management objectives, recommends changes in job classification and salary to management, and determines the need for additional training or recommends termination or reclassification, in a fair and consistent manner.
  12. Calls and leads safety meetings.
  13. Undertakes such study/training as required for promotion to General Field Engineer.
  14. Maintain a high level of QHSSE exposure and ensure all field staff follow the reporting structure in place.
  15. Undergo periodic fitness for duty tests, examinations, and/or certifications will be required for onshore/offshore location assignments 


  1. Performs other duties as assigned by Base Manager.
  2. Supervise field engineers and ensure all company SOPs are followed accordingly.
  3. Assists in the training of Junior/Field Engineers.


 Required Skills:

  1. Good Electronic, Electrical and Mechanical aptitude.
  2. Good working knowledge of PC and software to include Word/Excel/Powerpoint.
  3. Good working knowledge of electric line logging systems
  4. Team worker - ability to work in team to achieve shared goals.
  5. Results focused - ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise workload.
  6. Flexibility with regards to working hours/requirements.
  7. Good timekeeping and reliable.Ability to work under pressure, willingness to work in varying conditions, individuals who seek challenges, people who are self-motivated, versatile, hands on and practically minded
  8. Thorough problem solving of different perforating gun systems and implementing corrective actions.



Required Education:

  1. College degree in Engineering or related science, or equivalent oilfield job experience
  2. Radiation, explosives, and pressure certification as required.
  3. Valid driver's license is preferred.



Required Experience:

  1. Minimum of 3 years as a Field Engineer in the oilfield environment offshore/onshore (5 years preferred).
  2. Experience with open and cased hole logging tools
  3. Experience with pressure control equipment including but not limited to 5/10/15K psi.
  4. Experience in pipe conveyed logging services
  5. Experience in basic ballistic operations to include perforating and plug setting
