Operate various equipment and machinery to prepare cementation product for welding and brazing, fit-up of centralizer blades, quick-tip carbide inserts, manual grinding, machine grinding, and press operations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (not listed in any particular order)
Know and understand Weatherford’s Enterprise Excellence Program and the Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
Must understand and comply with all applicable licensee requirements.
Learn proper maintenance of machine, equipment and facilities and keep in proper condition.
always Assist in keeping the Machine Shop area clean and orderly.
Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
Run press and grind.
Read routers and drawings to check product to order.
Perform minimum maintenance requirements to equipment, oil levels, clean ups, etc.
Perform cycle counts.
Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things.
Operate all finishing equipment including polisher, grinders, and sanders
Using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes
Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
Ability to work in a team oriented environment.
Ability to segment parts with cutoff says and perform deburr functions as required.
Ability to setup and operate the marking machines and the proper procedures for phosphating parts.
Must meet or beat all standards for the finishing processes and make recommendations as required to improve the processes.
Able to read measuring equipment
Able to read routers and drawings
Basic math skills
The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.
Lifting 100 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and / or carrying of objects weighing 50 pounds or more.
1-2 years of prior experience
