JOB DESCRIPTION

Critical link between sales and operations offering application support, project support and job execution in regard to the installation or running of Weatherford downhole equipment.

Support of projects from initial customer contact through design to deployment and wrap up.

This position will have direct customer first line interface for all project matters, however commercial responsibility will lie with the sales team and district management.

To ensure the correct installation and running of Weatherford equipment and supervise operations at onshore and offshore well locations in accordance with the Client Company polices procedures and systems while adhering to statutory regulations and best industry practice and to carry our all duties in a safe and efficient manner. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Application support with regard to Weatherford products, project support to meet client requirements and expectations and the subsequent installation of Weatherford equipment per company and client established working practices in accordance with the Quality and Safety Management Systems processes and procedures.

Ensure all possible preparations and relevant reports and information are submitted on WPTS.

Accountable for all safety requirements of the well site location.

Attend pre and post job briefings and contribute to the discussion to ensure lessons learned are properly communicated, understood and implemented on subsequent jobs.

Completion of all paperwork requirements in accordance with the procedures.

To represent the company by maintaining a professional demeanor and attitude at all times.

The role will be responsible for well site operational activities and practices. 

The role is measured by the accurate fulfilment of job specific processes as well as the safe and efficient utilization of personnel and equipment.

While the incumbent will have attained high operational and technical skill applicable to the project assigned the incumbent should seek to be involved with the customer site activities to ensure that better procedures and process can be evolved to bring added value to the customer and the project.

Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and the incumbent person is capable and deemed competent to fulfil those requests.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED:

High School Diploma or GDE

Several years’ practical field experience in the Oil and Gas sector

Rig Operations, Well Engineering and Drilling and Completion activities

Substantial time management and organizational skills

Self-Starter that is able to participate as an active team member and team leader and to work unsupervised under variable workload

Good verbal and written communicator

 

PREFFERED:

Post-secondary education (Mechanical or Engineering discipline)

Good presentation and interpersonal skills

Ability to motivate and inspire colleagues and peers
