DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:  (not listed in any particular order)Interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and procedures.

Knowledgeable and skilled with basic test equipment. (Multi-meter, Oscilloscope, Waveform Generator)

Prototype, test, repair, modify and troubleshoot electronic circuits and systems.

Setup and run tests with minimal engineering support.

Create test procedures requiring only engineering approval. This includes defining the functional criteria and pass/fail limits.

 Develop wiring diagrams, layout drawings for system or equipment modifications or expansion.

Perform failure analysis and recommend preventative and corrective action.

Recommend changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.

Analyze and interpret test data.

Define, design, document electronic circuits (non-processor based) used for testing or simulation.

Supports manufacturing (testing) and operations (field failures).

Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.

Demonstrate a personal commitment to Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment.

Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.

Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.




8 years experience working with electronics

Technical Degree or licence required in electroincs disipline or equivalent related experience



  • Associates degree in electronic discipline or equivalent related experience.
  • Computer networking or related training or degree.
  • Knowledge or training of computer networking and servers.
  • Experience with down hole MWD/LWD Logging tools
  • Data logging analysis experience
