The Geoscientist Practitioner II for Interpretation and Evaluation Services (IES) is responsible for providing timely and accurate log interpretation with data acquired from open hole, cased hole, surface logging, or LWD instruments, and presenting the results to client representatives. Focusing on Well Integrity and Production Logging within Interpretation Services, the incumbent is responsible for data processing and providing well log interpretation with data acquired from cased hole instruments primarily, and presenting the results to the customers and/or sales engineers. The successful candidate is also responsible for generating log plots and transferring data to other formats and storage media using the data acquisition system.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform log interpretations and processing of Cased Hole Logs such as Multi-finger Calipers, Flux Leakage Tools, CBL/Ultrasonic tools and PLT
Provide technical support by being involved in pre-job meetings, writing logging programs and presenting data to clients and sales representatives
Be thoroughly knowledgeable of the intricacies of the log analysis software (Techlog, Emeraude, Plato and basic spreadsheets). Training to be provided as required
Utilizes discipline understanding to deliver basic results independently or by assisting senior employees with tasks requiring accuracy and adherence to prescribed testing, analysis and design.
Develop and execute new techniques in analyzing and presenting log data
Keep current with new technology and interpretation methods, and Microsoft applications
Must be able to meet tight deadlines and available to be on an on-call rotation
Assists with writing technical reports or documents for internal and/or external distribution.
Develops internal network for knowledge sharing within the company, participates in local technology watch or professional events.
Interacts with internal and external clients, with moderate supervision, in a professional and courteous manner.
Communicates general information within the team, to the client or to senior employees to coordinate and update project tasks, striving for consistent quality.

Experience with interpretations and processing of Cased Hole Logs such as Multi-finger Calipers, Flux Leakage Tools, CBL/Ultrasonic tools and PLT
Expertise in WL and LWD data interpretation and its applications
Work effectively as a member of a team, as well as work independently in multidisciplinary teams.

Bachelors (or higher) Degree in Geosciences, Science or Engineering.
2-7 consecutive years of relevant professional experience in the upstream petroleum industry.
2-7 years experience working as an LWD and/or Wireline Geoscientist in the upstream petroleum industry.
Fluent in English. Excellent Written & Oral Communication skills.
Very good presentation skills.
Experience interpreting conventional and unconventional reservoirs.
Knowledge of wireline cased hole and open hole log analysis.
Understanding of mudlogging and coring.
Basic knowledge of directional drilling and well planning
Basic knowledge in well placement
5+ years experience working as an LWD and/or Wireline Geoscientist in the upstream petroleum industry.
Masters (or higher) Degree in Geosciences, Science or Engineering.
Previous work experience with both operator and service company
