The Weatherford Performance Tracking System “WPTS” lead developer position is responsible for all technical aspects of the WPTS system.  The major functional components of the system includes the online (windows based web application) and offline versions (Standalone windows applications), plus integrations between ERP systems and WPTS.


  • Solve (at a senior level) all technical issues related to the WPTS platform ( Code and DB)
  • Work with the software development manager to provide work estimates
  • Work with the software development manager to plan future development sprints
  • Investigate and resolve all technical issues >= Level 3 support
  • Assist with technical aspects related to evolving the underlying architecture of WPTS
  • Assign tasks to other offshore resources + evaluate development sprint performance
  • Daily interaction with other WPTS developers  ( Lead Daily Dev Stand-ups )
  • Mentor offshore resources
  • Responsible for all software releases related to WPTS


  • Development Sprint Planning with the Software Development Manager
  • Leading Daily Standups with other WPTS software developers
  • Development Sprint performance evaluation reports
  • Investigating support issues and resolving
  • Ensuring team time entry is entered appropriately
  • Performance Management of WPTS offshore developers
  • Working with the other project team on support issues related to WPTS
  • Training new development staff the technical details of WPTS
  • Participating with Product line development discussions
  • Providing Development estimates for management
  • Source Code management
  • Test, QA



  • Windows based Web Application Development Experience( Senior Level )
  • Experience leading teams off offshore developers
  • Ability to work with legacy and emerging web applications technology
  • Supporting a large installed user base
  • Preferred 
  • Web AND offline application development
  • Experience with integrating with JD Edwards, Sales Force - ERP systems
  • Execute full lifecycle software development
  • Write well designed, testable, efficient code
  • Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
  • Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
  • Document and maintain software functionality
  • Tailor and deploy software tools, processes and metrics
  • Debug / troubleshoot  new and existing software by developing and implementing test strategies
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for proprietary and developed systems
  • Hands on experience in designing interactive applications
    Experience in complex Data System, Design, Implementation
  • Experience in development of Reliability and Business intelligence tools and reports
  • Project management including cost and proposals
  • Experience in probability, statistics, algorithm deployment in software applications including creation of formulas
  • Produce detailed specifications and write programming code for Advanced Business Intelligence Web applications
  • Team player with leadership qualities
  • Diligent problem solverGood understanding of SQL and relational database concepts.
