JOB DESCRIPTION

Safely drive and deliver shipments used in tubular makeup and testing services. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Drive and deliver shipments as needed

Make sure truck is loaded properly

Check weight of shipment before leaving

Bind load properly

Maintain vehicle at all times.

Ensure truck has proper and current inspections.

Comply with all D.O.T. laws at all times.

Perform occasional Hot-Shot runs or local pick-up and delivery.

Maintain driver qualification records and driving records.

Assist shop technicians when not driving.

Assist casing crew on drilling rig floor when not driving

Available on a 24 hour basis to respond to customer needs.

Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.

Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.

Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.

Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

2+ years driving experience

Excellent communication skills  

General knowledge of rules and regulations governing truck drivers

Ability to maintain required licenses

Must be able to work in the shop and run casing on down time  

Must be able to keep driving logs accurate, and maintain vehicle at all times.

Class A CDL

Available to be on call 24/7

Must reside in or near the San Antonio, TX area 

The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.
