Test and inspect products at various stages of production process, primarily in-process and final inspection, and compile and evaluate statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Select products for tests at specified stages in production process, and test for a variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical or chemical characteristics.
Record test data, applying quality control procedures.
Evaluate data and write reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
Set up destructive and non-destructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics.
Prepare graphs or charts of data or enter data into computer for analysis.
Develop knowledge of Inspection Employee Skills “II, and I”.
May assist in training QA Inspector I’s.
Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
Attendance in compliance with Company policy.
One to two years verifiable experience in quality and inspection.
The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.
Ability to read common measuring devices such as tape measures, micrometers, callipers, etc.
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Proficient verbal communication skills.
General computer knowledge.
Basic reading, writing and math skills.
Ability to interpret and follow and variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule forms.
Ability to interact with all levels of personnel.
General knowledge of products and processes.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Good verbal communication skills.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
