Design, develop, test, and support the manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment, components, and circuit boards for Weatherford L/MWD and RSS product lines.


Work closely with the EE team and assigned technician staff in the product development process

Interface closely with drafting group to develop PC board documentation and participate in the engineering signoff of PC board documentation in Windchill

Assist in establishing standards and specifications for electrical and electronic assemblies.

Develop manufacturing, installation, maintenance and support documentation for electrical and electronic components and boards

Develop and implement test procedures, acceptance criteria and inspection standards for electrical and electronic assemblies and circuit boards

Conduct Design for Manufacturability reviews of new and existing designs; review and implement ECN’s

Provide manufacturing support and develop troubleshooting processes and guides, and assist in transitioning prototype designs to manufacturing, and provide training as needed

Disposition non-conformances in manufactured and procured products and develop corrective actions to prevent non-conformances.

Work with ERP systems to ensure accurate and necessary information is available for procurement activities

Prepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment.

Assist Supply Chain in identifying and qualifying vendors, test vendors’ products, and participate in vendor audits

Demonstrate a personal commitment to Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment




Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.

Experience in identifying and resolving complex problems to implement effective solutions for electronic equipment and circuit boards in a manufacturing environment

B.S. Electrical Engineering and/or B.S.  Electrical Engineering Technology

5-7 years relevant experience

Must be able to communicate effectively with technicians and Engineers and act as a liaison between Engineering and Manufacturing

The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.


Experience in independent development of electronic equipment and circuit boards

Experience with process improvement utilizing Lean techniques and Six Sigma tools
