Oversee the duties and responsibilities of day-to-day operations in the Inventory Department, maintain precise inventory control on all manufactured and purchased items. Coordinate personal in receiving, stocking, issuing materials. Ensure work order materials close accuracy.


Understand and comply with all safety requirements, environmental requirements and Weatherford company policies.

Oversee inspections and testing of installed units, parts, and equipment for fit, performance, and compliance with standards, using measuring instruments and test equipment.

Make sure daily task in the assembly department are locating and marks reference points and holes for installation of parts and components, using jigs, templates, and measuring instruments.

Coordinate with lead personal to make sure Installation of units, parts, equipment, and components in structural assembly, according to blueprints and specifications, using hand tools and power tools.

Designate duties for Lead personnel in Inventory, Assembly and Painting/Marking Departments and supervise them on responsibilities, communications, and leadership skills.

Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency in Inventory, Assembly and Painting/Marking departments.

Reduce production cost by implementing continuous improvement activities

Revise production scheduling with manufacturing manager and priorities as a result of field input or manufacturing priorities.

With the assistance from HR, recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee’s performance and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers and disciplinary actions.

Confirm counts on components after marking process has been completed.

Confirm that all necessary information has been marked on all parts.

Place components in correct storage bins and ensure they are marked with all required information and placed in the proper area.

Ensure that all bins on shelves are placed in the correct order.

Document all parts going to stock/scrap in the appropriate area of the work order.

Complete work orders in the JD Edwards system.

Display proficiency when using the JD Edwards system.

Confirm counts on products received from outside vendors.

Ensure that identifying lot numbers match on both the packing list and the part itself.

Receive parts from outside vendors into the JDE Edwards system.

Document count confirmation on packing list and on the receiving inspection report.

Communicate any discrepancies with products or counts with the purchasing department.

Place over flow stock in secondary location with required documentation on the outside of the box.

Ability to issue parts to a work order and document all required information.

Efficiently set up parts for use by other departments.

Display the ability to separate parts with different work order numbers into separate lots to ensure traceability is maintained on assembly work orders.

Keep track of inventory levels and ensure low quantities are communicated to purchasing department.

Transfer products from secondary locations to primary locations when stock is low.

Ensure proper documentation when parts are pulled directly to a work order.

Ensure finished product is properly marked, entered into stock, and promptly routed to the shipping department.

Generate cycle count listing through the JD Edwards system.

Accurately count all part numbers listed on cycle count and confirm counts are correct for each location listed.

Generate variance detail sheet in cases where there are discrepancies with the cycle count.

Close out cycle count and ensure accurate information is entered into the JD Edwards system.

Research and find solutions to discrepancies in both the JD Edwards system as well as the archived files.

Must have an understanding of each part used and be able to identify the difference between different tool types.

Complete changes to inventory counts in the JD Edwards system such as inventory adjustments, scrap, and miscellaneous issues.

Effectively communicate daily expectations to all inventory employees and ensure they are met.

Identify work flow congestion and reallocate staff as necessary.

Coach and counsel each inventory employee to ensure they are meeting all requirements for their position.

Identify process needs and ensure they are met or adjusted to fit the business need.

Schedule time off to ensure there are no conflicts with process completion.

Identify and find solutions to issues when a process breakdown occurs and ensure close follow up is maintained to gauge solution effectiveness.

Approve employee daily payroll in the ALR system and ensure accuracy.

Coordinate with manufacturing to ensure priority jobs are completed in a timely manner and if necessary partially complete work orders for components needed and route them through remaining process.

Facilitate all applicable department meetings.

Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Display proficiency using JDE functions:  Cardex, Supply and Demand, Detail Availability, Shop Floor Workbench.
