JOB DESCRIPTION

Has responsibility for planning, directing and supervising procurement activities, including helping to develop and review new or improved purchasing procedures to maintain economy and efficiency of operations; assists in reviewing bid proposals and specifications; and evaluates overall revisions, price and past performance of suppliers/vendors.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Analyze current orders and upcoming orders to prioritize, plan and schedule production.

Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials between departments.

Organize and implement production schedules.

Participate in the coordination of engineering changes and product launches to ensure orderly and timely transitions of materials.

Collaborate with other departments, such as Manufacturing, Customer Service, Warehouse, Receiving, Finance, Engineering and Quality Assurance to ensure throughput and/or coordinate activities.

Consult with Master Scheduler to forecast demand and create supply plans that ensure availability of materials or products.

Support local Warehouse Team to manage key account service levels, orders and inventory.

Collaborate with multi-functional Managers to plan material requirements and achieve monthly targets.

Translates orders into a sequential work schedule to establish lead times for each operation to meet deadlines.

Develops solutions to problems of unusual complexity and scope that require a high degree of innovation and ingenuity.

Manage implementation of the monthly updates and critical path schedule analysis.

Measure, track, and communicate key performance metrics.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent project management and planning skills. Oracle, Global Sourcing &

Experience with Master Production Scheduling and Materials/Capacity Requirement Planning.

Ability to work closely with Sales and Customer Service.

Ability to coach, develop and mentor team members.

Strong communication, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.

Experience dealing with senior level professionals and delivering results.

University Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance OR applicable years of work experience

Ability to work independently, being self-motivated and results-oriented.

Fluent in English.

5-7+ years of Planning/Scheduling experience OR related experience in Engineering, Procurement, or Construction (EPC) Planning and Scheduling

The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.

Preferred:

Strong working knowledge of MRP is a requirement, and Oracle is preferable.

5-7+ years planning experience in a leadership role.
