Support Research & Design engineers from laboratory prototype to well testing of surface and downhole wireline logging equipment.


Assemble and test prototype PCB assemblies.  PCBs include small surface mount parts and are built using high temperature solders.

Read and follow electronic schematics.

Learn and operate PC software used to test and build equipment including custom data acquisition and test software, Material Requirement Planning software used to manufacture equipment, and Windchill Product Lifecycle Management software used to document engineering data.

Devise, perform, and document heat tests on components and assemblies.

Write test procedures for new equipment to be used in the manufacturing process.

Work with engineers to troubleshoot and repair new prototype designs.

Perform all duties in a safe manner following all Weatherford safety protocols.




Experience with electronic assembly, test, & measurement

Basic knowledge of both digital and analog electronic circuits

Knowledge of safe high temperature test methods

Good organizational and communication skills (verbal and written)

Competent with MS Office software

Basic operation of CAD and schematic capture software.

Ability to work independently

Familiar with necessary hand tools and instrumentation typically used in the assembly and testing of wireline tools

Minimum three years experience.
