JOB DESCRIPTION

Inspect materials received and products manufactured for compliance with drawings and specifications under the guidelines of the Weatherford Houma Manufacturing Quality Systems Manual and/or customer specifications.  Maintain quality records per the Weatherford Houma Manufacturing QSM and/or customer specifications.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inspection/Acceptance of parts received and manufactured under the requirements of the Weatherford Gemoco Quality System Manual, special customer requirements, API-Q1, and ISO-9001.

Control of quality inspection during the production of such goods as centralizers, stop collars, scratchers, cement baskets, well bore wipers, hydro-bonders, drill pipe protectors and related tools.

Perform centralizer testing per API Spec. 10D to check centralizer performance.

Maintain the required quality records.

Insure that instruments and gauges being used are in good condition and in calibration.

Maintain professional relations with customers and Weatherford Gemoco personnel.

Daily in-line inspection of all production operations.

Perform Rockwell Hardness tests as required by the QSM, QPM, or DOP.

Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.

Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.

Must comply with all requirements of Weatherford Gemoco’s Quality System Manual, Quality Procedures Manual, and Department Operating Procedures.

Perform various other duties assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

Perform miscellaneous product test as requested.

Inspection/Acceptance of parts received and manufactured under the requirements of the Weatherford Gemoco Quality System Manual, special customers requirements, API-QI and ISO-9001.

Control of quality inspection during the production of floating equipment, stage tool, and related equipment.

Maintain the required quality records.

Insure that instruments and gauges being used are in good condition and in calibration.

Maintain professional relations with customers and Weatherford Gemoco personnel.

Assist in first article and in-process inspection as required.

Perform basic destructive and visual inspections/test.

Responsible for attending safety meetings.

Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.

Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.

Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.

Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

The ability to calculate figures and convert fractions to decimals and vice-versa.

Good math skills.

Ability to read and interpret basic and advanced blueprints and charts.

Ability to use Inspection and measuring equipment micrometers, callipers and dial indicators.

Ability to effectively work with employees, supervisors, vendors and customers.

Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.

Computer skills for Quality documentation and inspection information.

Prior inspection and/or product line experience.

The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.
