Responsible for inspecting products using established inspection tools and techniques with training and under general supervision.  Performs and documents First Article and Final inspections on parts in production to insure that customer requirements and quality standards are met.  Inspects material and product received from outside sources to insure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.


Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.

Inspect parts in-process, finished products, and /or purchased materials for conformance to specifications.

Observes production operations for conformance to specifications, preparing report of findings.

Prepares and maintains records and documentation of inspection acceptance, rejection, and/or re-work requirements.

Set up or adjust and operate inspection equipment to ensure it’s accuracy.

Piece part inspection.

Receiving inspection.

Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.

Perform various other duties assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.



Above average math skills with the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area circumference, and volume.

Above average verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to use measurement devices such as tape measures, micrometers, callipers, and scales.

Ability to read and understand basic blueprints and charts.

Prior knowledge of products and/or inspection process.

Ability to effectively work with vendors, customers, employees and supervisors.

The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.
