Building on a very high level of technical knowledge and experience, the Sales Engineer/Specialist proactively and strategically sells specific tools, technologies and services across the Weatherford portfolio to a defined customer base. In alignment with the agreed sales plan, the Sales Engineer ensures a high level of technical knowledge support is provided to the sales and account management team. The role also works to establish customer relationships that enable the identification of customer needs and the positioning of Weatherford solutions.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Log all sales activity in www.salesforce.com
Act as a market input source to Product Line Management for new product opportunities
Develop and present technical papers
Provide Product Line specific Technical Sales support for the organization through direct sales presentations, training programs, and customer seminars.
Develop sales aids in the form of presentation material, CD’s documentation, and procedure manuals required for specific projects.
Provide technical support for Regional Sales to present current technology in a direct telling effort
Interface between customers, Product Line Managers, and Engineers on new product requirements.
Assist with the development of quotations and Product Line related bid packages
Train Regional sales on current technologies
Assist in development of annual Revenue Budget on Product Line related basis
Other duties as assigned
Engineering degree (or related field) or equivalent technical experience
Excellent presentational and computer skills
Must have 3-5 years previous Cased Hole Wireline background
Must have 5-8 years’ experience in oil and gas sales.
Must have experience with computer sales tracking program.
Fundamental understanding of marketing concepts and market assessment
Ability to think statically
Good communication skills
Willingness to travel
Ability to lift approximately 0-25 lbs.
PPE and other safety equipment required when necessary
Must reside in or near the Houston TX area.
Operational experience with Cased Hole Wireline
