Supervise and keep all work flowing smoothly within manufacturing areas. To insure all customer orders meet requirements of delivery dates, quality and cost. To assist manager in monitoring and performing all policies, procedures and requirements of Weatherford and requirements of internal and external customers while insuring the safety and performance of all employees.


Must work closely with drafting, inside sales, estimating and engineering. Must furnish all information as requested by them.

Receive all work orders through inside sales and through estimating

Inventory supply items

Monitor component parts inventory and write up work order verification and processing

Plan production of the timely completion of work orders to satisfy the demands of the sales department and warehouse inventory level maintenance.

Organize all work according to dates

Collect data from open work orders for back log calculations and production planning

Distribute work to employees on a timely basis and explain each job so all is fully understood

Must keep up with progress of all jobs to insure delivery

Must maintain adequate and cost-effective inventory levels on Tooling and Supplies

Must work closely with quality control

Must keep accurate records on employee’s behavior, performance and attendance / time-trac. As well as discipline employees

Must make sure all people work in a safe and productive manner

Must keep up with regulating hours worked, based on hours needed

Must be available to all employees during working hours to help solve any problems and answer questions.

Must work with Sales & Estimating to produce accurate cost of repair jobs prior to repairing and monitor same.

Must do individual employee job appraisals on yearly basis for improved efficiency

Maintain neat housekeeping

Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.

Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

Must have adequate communication skills to direct production workers and coordinate with other departments.

Must be well versed in the operation of all types of machining equipment used to manufacture various types of machined products in the oilfield.

Should have good welding knowledge of speciality metals

Must be skilled in the use of various office equipment used for recording, compiling, and reporting production information.

Must be skilled in the use of a wide variety of precision measuring instruments.

Able to supervise employees by use of above average people skills

Must have average computer skills

Minimally 10+ years related experience with certifications or licenses.

Typically required with Technical Degree.

The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.
