A Price book Analyst will be responsible to work closely with business stakeholders on a continuous basis to develop and create specification and price books and catalogs. A Price book Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring that accurate product and service information is developed, entered and maintained in the catalog production database. In addition, this role will support pricing analysis and will work closely with Sales and Product Line Management to define competitive pricing. A Price book Analyst will be a liaison between the business unit, IT development and support functions, Sales functions, Product Line functions, eCommerce functions, and will proactively communicate and collaborate with external/internal customers to manage the creation and update of price book and catalog


Provide Price book and Catalog services for Team Lead

Provide support with the design of different pricing strategies to the product lines

Perform setup requirements in JDE to accommodate pricing requirements

Manage and validate price load requests for new and existing pricing

Load contract pricing for B2B customers to ensure catalog validation requirements

Identify and develop operational metrics for price books and catalogs in coordination with the

Order to Cash and e-commerce teams

Develop process workflow utilizing technology such as Sharepoint or equivalent to help manage the process book and catalog process

Design and implement Enterprise Excellence Procedure and communicate process requirements to Product Lines and Operations

Participate in development and maintenance of thorough, current functional and systems documentation, business process flow diagrams, and end user training materials

Participate in the development and execution of well-designed test plans, testing activities, and test data

Ensure Product Lines and Operations are in compliance with EEP and Pricebook/Catalog process

Collaborate daily with Sales, Product Line, and customers

Troubleshoot issues

Collaborates with various departments to determine product and service specifications

Proofs specification and price books throughout production and provides ready templates for creation of Price book and Catalog

Run queries using Showcase, Excel, Access, etc to extract data from various source systems to generate ad-hoc reports and analyses for both Sales, Product Line, and eCommerce Team

Analyzing data for quality and usage for creation of Price book and Catalog

Make recommendations to reduce repetitive data issues

Develop and cross-train other Price book Analyst



Bachelor’s degree required

Minimum of 2-5 years of experience; oil & gas industry experience preferred

General process knowledge of a functional area and considered a SME in all sub-processes (Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, B2B, etc.)

Knowledge of the Supply Chain modules in ERP systems, JDE, SAP tables and relational database (PO, SO, WO, etc.)

Understand a given software project "end-to-end" specifically beginning with Business Requirements, then the appropriate Data Architecture and corresponding User Interface (UI), and culminating with finished information products such as Web Viewers, Reports, Data Entry Applications, Interfaces to Other Systems, and Graphical Outputs

Quality - oriented attention to detail a must, particularly in the areas of analysis, testing, quality assurance and systems documentation

Ability to direct and lead business evaluations, requirements gathering, system analysis and project activities

Ability to learn new software and/or applications quickly and with limited formal training, utilizing tutorials, user guides and other documentation and training materials that are readily available

Ability to understand and learn data flow concepts between company systems and databases

Diligent with good attention to detail

Strong written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate with various levels of staff and management

Highly motivated, self-starting individual; able to multi-task and manage to timelines

Familiarity with JDE application software – ability to navigate within system, general understanding of overall functionality considered a plus

Background in eCommerce/B2B/PIDX XML preferred

Oracle B2B/SOA a plus

Developer skills considered a plus
