The Operator has obtained the necessary skills and knowledge in order to safely perform a variety of complex Wireline services. The expectation at this level is to perform supervisory shop tasks. Duties and responsibilities include ensuring that his location keeps all equipment and assets in good working order. He / she is responsible for looking after the shop maintenance, storage of tools and equipment, mobilization / demobilization of equipment from well site and controls the activities of the operators in the base as well as the casual staff.
The employee has obtained the necessary skills and knowledge and is capable of working autonomously on tasks covering advanced services in Open Hole and/or Cased Hole domains. Additionally, they should demonstrate leadership and contribute towards improvement of safe work practices, service quality and efficiency.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.1Keeps the location neat, tidy and properly organized.
1.2Controls, in collaboration with Engineers and the Wireline Manager; crew rotation, sick leave, vacations and load charts of operators.
1.3Assigns tasks to the operators / casual staff to keep the equipment in the best of condition following the full preventive maintenance program.
1.4Supervises the loading of logging tools and associated equipment into trucks, pick ups, tool baskets or tool pallets going to the well site.
1.5Knows and enforce safety regulations including, but not limited to, shop and well site safety, explosives and radioactive storage.
1.6Supervises in servicing, inspecting, maintaining, marking, and changing cables and basic equipment.
1.7Ensures that WFT policies and regulations are well understood, accepted and followed by the operators under his supervision.
1.8Is actively involved in preparing the jobs with the engineers and assigned crew.
1.9Assists the Wireline Manager and Engineers with the training of the crews.
1.10Observes safe working practices, rules and regulations, wears all safety equipment as required, and corrects and reports hazards immediately.
1.11Works well with other employees to ensure the smooth operation of the district.
1.12Follows and directs the routine inspection schedules for the shop, equipment and vehicles.
1.13Safely drives and operates any transport vehicle and logging truck if required.
1.14Keeps track of driving license and training for all operators and organize training if required.
1.15Assists in well site operations or fishing operations if required.
1.16Know and fully understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to communicate in native language
- Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s Licence with Hazardous Materials endorsement or equivalent
- Weatherford Safety Training as required.
- Weatherford Wireline certificates for Radiation, Explosives and Pressure Control
